eHow Deleted Articles

Yesterday eHow deleted 2 of my top paying articles; both ranked number 2 with Google. By the end of this week I would have reached over 5K page views. I’ve only been an eHow writer for about 4 months, and had read about articles being deleted because of grammer, common sense and plagiarism. I felt no sense of alarm, however, a posting I read about 2 weeks ago did- a writer stated how their top grossing articles were deleted with no warning. Now keep in mind, I only had 19 articles and started out collecting around $5 the first month and my (3rd month) last payout was $74.39. Some days my daily rate was $2.4 and other days close to $4. My account has been cut in half  with the deletions.
I thought submitting quality articles and earning high ranks with Google were a win-win for both eHow and writers. I figured writing an eHow article on a hot topic could pay off and it did, and unfortunately I know it would have paid off nicely over time. In hind sight, I wonder if I had written and promoted my top articles on my own blog, at the time I didn’t have one. Not receiving a deletion notification upset me the most, because I spent alot of time promoting my eHow articles. So I feel the time spent writing those articles and promoting has been a waste. I also write for Demand Studios and noticed one of my articles have been redirected to a Demand Studios written article. I still feel eHow is a great place to write, learn and meet new people. If you are an eHow writer have you had articles deleted, what did you do?

    Hi Tamara,
Great blog! I just read your comment on my blog and wanted to stop by for a visit. Yeah….it's a real bummer to lose income like that. I've also lost articles that they've redirected to other Demand Studio articles. It makes you feel violated, doesn't it? I've been putting my rejects on infobarrel (not getting as much traffic as ehow, though) and I'm also a member of Xomba.

Did not bother me too badly because the articles they deleted weren't really doing that great. I am not really sure about the new change they have now with Demand Studios. I enjoyed being able to get my articles published immediately.
