On July 31st, 2009, I published my first article on
eHow. Having joined a month earlier, I thought over ideas of what to write about. What would be my angle? What could be my niche? Overall I didn’t want a body of work on random How-
to’s; I decided on a broad topic that could be filtered down into endless subtopics. Parenting came to mind. My goal is to stick to it so that eventually I will be perceived as an expert. Researching the Internet is a hobby for me, the idea of writing on a topic that I live everyday while informing others is perfect.
eHow’s residual income potential was
definitely even more motivation to devise a plan and
strategize. I accrued a whopping $5.15 my first month, happy meal money, but it was nice to see that it works. It has now been two months and I have earned a little over $50 dollars. These are a few of my
eHow tips:
-
As you know writing is key, quality articles even better
-
Use
keywords in the title of your articles
-
Seek out other eHowers that interest you and subscribe to them. This will ensure you receive every new article they post, so that you can comment.
-
-
Rate, comment and recommend others. Make sure you let the person know that you have read and recommend them by sending a little direct note.
-
eHow is a community of ‘help me, help you’, most people will return the favor
-
Join eHow groups that interest you
-
Visit the ‘Community’ page frequently to add new eHow members as friends, this will grow your friend list
-
Share your articles through other sites such as Twitter, Digg and Facebook
-
Add relevant affiliate links to your articles
-
As your articles grow in number, link related topics to each other under the resources section
I will add to this list as I experience more with eHow. Have you had success with a eHow? Share your tips. Are you just getting started? Comments and questions welcome! I encourage anyone starting out with eHow to keep writing as they contribute good solid content to the Internet and eventually benefit from a new stream of residual income.
I also recommend an eBook “How to Earn Passive Income at eHow.com: Residual Income for Web Content Writers” Total: $25
